Workshop time!
Jente: “Abbie Moore is a wonderful person. She is from England, so for her it was hard to speak Dutch, but she tried her best to translate words that we didn’t understand. The workshop itself was really educational. In a pleasant way we improved our English by speaking. It was amazing that we also needed to act a lot in groups. By doing this we combined fun and learning. I want to thank her for this well thought-out workshop.”
Arne: “I really enjoyed the workshop because it let us learn about the British cuisine and brands. I found it cool that all of that was explained by someone from the UK who also brought different British food items that we were allowed to try and it was very good (except the mint chocolate, it tasted like toothpaste).”
Lotte: “I think it was a fun experience and a great way to get us to use English. It was also nice to talk to someone with a British accent.”
Tjenne: “It was a nice workshop because we had to talk to someone who didn’t speak any Dutch. The food was very tasty and it was very special to eat things you can’t get in normal Belgian shops.”
Elise: “The workshop was a creative way to practice speaking in English. In groups we prepared different dialogues and presented them in front of the class. We spoke English the whole time while we played all kinds of games.”
Lyano: I found it a fun experience, I learned quite a lot about English cuisine. I enjoyed the whole class working together and the atmosphere was spectacular. The food was amazing and I also learned something about the geography of England. The way they made learning English into a fun game is fantastic and I learned how to pronounce certain words.
